If you’ve ever wished your salads tasted more like the ones from your favorite restaurant, this Ginger Sesame Dressing is the answer. It’s creamy yet light, tangy, a little sweet, and full of that fresh ginger kick that makes every bite pop. Best of all, it takes less than 5 minutes to make in your blender — no cooking required!

I originally created this recipe for my Salmon Salad with Ginger Sesame Dressing, but it’s quickly become a staple in my fridge. I drizzle it over grain bowls, dip dumplings in it, and even use it as a marinade for chicken or salmon. It’s versatile, vibrant, and way more flavorful than anything from a bottle.

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and emulsified.
  3. Taste and adjust — add more soy sauce for saltiness, honey for sweetness, or rice vinegar for tang.

Tips & Variations

  • Make it spicy: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a squirt of sriracha.
  • Extra creamy: Blend in 1 tbsp tahini or mayo for a richer dressing.
  • Marinade magic: Use it to marinate salmon, chicken, or tofu for 30 minutes before cooking.

Storage

Pour the dressing into a jar with a tight lid and refrigerate for up to 1 week. Shake before using, as natural separation may occur.
